What We Believe
The Bible The Bible is the inspired, true Word of God for the Christian faith and living. The Godhead We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit--coeternal in being, coeternal in nature, coequal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. God the Father One in essence with the Son and the Spirit. He is an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in all his attributes. He is the creator, sustainer, and sovereign ruler of all things through his Son Jesus Christ. God the Son Our Lord Jesus Christ, God-the-Son, was born of a virgin, led a sinless life, performed many miracles, died in our place to pay the price for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven to the right hand of the Father and will return in power and glory. God the Holy Spirit That the present ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict the world of sin, to convince the world of righteousness and of judgement and to sanctify every Christian to enable them to live a godly life. Salvation That all people are lost sinners and all who turn to Christ in saving faith are born again of the Holy Spirit. They are justified in the sight of God by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Eternity In the resurrection of both those who believe in Jesus and those who do not believe: those believing to eternal life with Christ and those unbelieving to eternal punishment in hell. The Church That all who believe in Jesus become members of His body, the Church. Jesus is the head of the Church, and under His authority, the local church is led by elders who are biblically qualified men. The Family That in God’s design for humanity, he established the family through the union of one man and one woman in a marriage covenant for life.
